ASNR Report 2025

LES ACTIVITÉS NUCLÉAIRES : RAYONNEMENTS IONISANTS ET RISQUES POUR LA SANTÉ ET L’ENVIRONNEMENT ASNR are published on the National Network for Environmental Radioactivity Measurements (RNM) website. ∙Reactive radiological monitoring: ASNR has the capacity to rapidly establish a specific investigation or monitoring strategy and to deploy the corresponding technical and human resources in the event of the detection of unusual levels of radioactivity, following an industrial event that could lead to the suspicion of an uncontrolled radioactive release or to respond to specific questions from the public authorities or society on the radiological status of a territory or environment. ∙Radiological studies of the environment around nuclear sites: in addition to its regular monitoring, ASNR occasionally carries out radiological studies of the environment around industrial sites, with the aim of refining its knowledge of their influence and estimating the exposure of neighbouring populations as realistically as possible. They are generally carried out with the involvement of civil society players. They also help to qualify radionuclide dispersion models in the environment and impact assessment models used by ASNR (see Highlight No. 9). For the installations operated by EDF, only the “adult” values were calculated until 2008. From 2010 to 2012, the dose of the most exposed representative person of each site for the two age groups (adult or infant) is mentioned. As from 2013, the dose of the “representative person” is provided for three age groups (adult, child, infant) for all the BNIs. The dose value indicated is the in the strictest value in the age classes. b. For the Cadarache, Saclay, Fontenay‑aux‑Roses and Marcoule sites, the dose estimates entered in the table are the sum of the dose estimates transmitted by the CEA. As these estimates comprise at least one term of less than 0.01 microsievert, the values indicated are preceded by the “less than (<)” sign. c. As the site has no longer had radioactive discharges since 2014, the radiological impact caused by radioactive discharges has been nil since 2014.
